nfcold

nfcold is small, simple and lightweight NetFlow™ v.5 collector. It offers the following features:

• Understands NetFlow™ v.5 protocol;
• Stores recorded flow data in relational PostgreSQL database;
• Is licensed under a liberal BSD-like license.

nfcold works with any standard NetFlow™ v.5 exporter, including hardware devices (e.g. routers) or software flow tracking agents, such as ipcad or pfflowd. Please refer to the SourceForge project page for more information.

nfcold follows the Unix philosophy of "doing one thing well" — it doesn't try to do anything beyond accepting NetFlow™ v.5 packets and storing them in a relational database. It does not include any analysis tools or user-friendly flow presenters. Having standard SQL storage backend, these tasks are left to external tools.
